INDIVIDUAL REVIEW- DON'T MOVE
Film Title: Don't Move
Film Analysis by Owusu Ankamah Sophia
Have you watched a movie that made you so scared that you almost forgot to blink and breathe? That’s exactly how watching Don't Move made me feel. From the very first moment, this short horror film grabs your attention and doesn’t let go until the end. Even though it’s just a few minutes long, it feels like a full nightmare.
This film had me feeling scared and anxious right from the start. It begins with creepy whispers and silence that builds a strong feeling of danger. The fear felt so real, like I was in the room with the characters. At times, I felt like I couldn’t even breathe.
The story doesn’t waste time it’s interesting from the beginning. You immediately feellikesomething terrible has already happened, and that makes you want to keep watching. The film follows a group of friends who accidentally bring a demon back to life. But there’s a twist he demon kills anyone who moves. That means everyone has to stay completely still to survive.
The main message is about how fear can take over people’s minds and change how they behave. The ending has a shocking twist that changes how you see one of the characters. It also reminds us that sometimes, people can be as dangerous as the monster.Even though the film is short, the acting was believable. The fear and panic on their faces felt so real. The demon was super creepy without even saying a word. I didn’t learn a lot about each character, but it was clear they cared for each other until fear changed everything.
The way the film was shot made everything feel intense. The camera stayed close to the characters, making you feel trapped with them. Some shots moved slowly, building more fear, and when the demon appeared, it was always a shock. The dark lighting, scary shadows, and quiet scenes made even small movements feel risky. The creepy music fit perfectly, it added to the fear without distracting from what was happening. Don't Move was way better than I expected. It was short, but really scary and well done. The strongest parts were the fear, the acting, and the terrifying demon. The only weak part was not knowing the characters well, but it didn’t take away from the story.
Protagonist: Shelly , the brave girl but who dies at the end.
Antagonist: The scary demon that kills anyone who moves.
Turning Point:
When shelly grab her boyfriend to shield herself from the demon.
Climax: When the shelly realised that she wasn't the only one left and also she being killed by the demon.
Resolution :
