Title: Lazy Susan The Mother of Invention
This short film tells the story of a quiet woman named Susan who lives with a family that does not treat her fairly. Her sister Annie is loved more, and their parents always praise Annie while Susan is ignored and made fun of.
Susan enjoys inventing things, but no one takes her seriously. One day at the dinner table, she shows them a soup bowl that can stir itself. Her father smiled and said, "Susan, this is our self-serve soup." Her sister then asked, "What do you think we should call it?" Nobody saw how smart the idea really was.
Later in the film, a restaurant is shown full of Susan’s invention. The self-stirring bowls are being used by many people. An old man sits alone and, after noticing what the bowl is doing, he says with respect, "This is how Susan was honoured." This was the first moment someone truly saw the value of what Susan had created.
The story is simple but powerful. It teaches that even when people around you don’t see your value, you are still important. Susan didn’t need to speak much or be loud to prove herself. Someone outside her family noticed her talent.
The actors in the film did a good job. Susan didn’t speak much, but her expressions and actions showed how she felt. The mother and sister acted unfairly, which made you feel sorry for Susan. The old man stood out because he was kind and respectful.
The way the film was made matched the story well. It was calm, quiet, and soft, just like Susan’s life. The music was gentle and didn’t distract from the story. Even the quiet scenes had meaning.
In the end, this film teaches an important lesson. Even if your own family or close people ignore you, others may still recognize your value. Being quiet doesn’t mean you can’t do great things.
I believe this film is worth watching. It is short, clear, and full of meaning. It shows that even the quietest people can create
something amazing.
